Campus Life at School of Hygiene-Mbale (SoHM)
New students welcome to the great School of Hygiene-Mbale (SoHM)! This information is meant to provide you with basic facts about SoHM, additional information can be found in the Admission Letter and or the School Rules and Regulations, copies of which are provided here in the website as downloads, they can also be obtained from the SoHM Inquiries’ office (Reception), Academic Registrar’s Office and Warden’s Office.
About Security
SoHM is mostly a secure place but management recommends vigilance and information sharing where you detect problems. Valuables should never be left unattended.
Accommodation and Meals
The school has both male and female students’ hostels with a total of 320 beds. All rooms are shared, there are no single rooms. All government admitted students reside inside the school. Some Private students and all Upgrading students are allowed to stay outside the School campus.
There is a canteen in which items of necessity like soap, toothpaste, slippers, Vaseline are available for sale.
For meals, there is the Dining Hall located within the School complex. There is an approved menu that the catering department implements, no special meals are provided except those in the menu.
